We finally became sick and tired of having a weight problem upon the realization that after many years of beefing up, trimming down and beefing up again, all we had to show for our efforts was a turnstile wardrobe and a stack of fat pictures too tall for words.

Masters of the quick fix, rapid weight loss was key. From cabbage soup, high protein, low-carb and fat-free diets to, liquid & herbal meal replacements - you name it, we swallowed it. Tried and true diet divas who could always lose poundage but never EVER keep it off.

There was no choice left but to give into the fact that this whole diet thing had to be approached from a different perspective. Things began to change when we began focusing on the one thing we had avoided like the plague for years: controlling our weight instead of just losing it.

Once we embraced this concept, something interesting happened - we began shedding pounds and keeping them off. People soon began to ask us what we were doing, but it was difficult to explain. How do you say, this time it's different because…in fifty words or less? The answer to that question is exactly how the idea for this site came about.
